I am very sad to report that Maverick went to the great chicken coop in the sky. No doubt she is there bossing someone around and chasing Marty's Dad across his garden!
So far Betty looks fine but I am going to treat her with antibiotics just to be careful. I feel so bad for her that she is alone. I have looked at the humane society and some chicken websites to see if anyone is looking to get rid of an adult hen but have not found one yet.
