Daisy Mae Update

We took Daisy back to the vet yesterday, not because she got worse or was not getting better, but just because I wanted her checked out before we go out into the outback for a week.

The vet felt that with the way she was recovering, she probably had doggie vertigo instead of a bug bite.  But it truly is anyone's guess based on the data at that moment because these darn dogs can't talk!  It kind of makes sense with the way she has been walking since the incident - like a wobbly drunken sailor.

The vet suggested meclazine - the same drug humans take - but I have not given her any yet because she seems to be at the tail end of it.  In fact, this afternoon, she was playing keep away on the deck with Hops.  Her back legs slipped out from underneath her a couple times while moving fast but I think that is normal for her.  I am just happy she wants to play and is getting around enough to engage with Hops.

I am taking all her meds with us on our trip and will be ready if anything happens.
