Commuting

Commuting makes me crazy.  CrAzY!

I have always said the only way I would ever turn into an ax murderer is because of commute traffic.  I have to commute about 17 miles and it routinely takes an hour and 15 minutes or more.

So when a shuttle started in my area, I was soo happy.  I have been tracking my driving and shuttling since October and I am taking the shuttle about 70% of the time!

So when I ran into this stat this morning, it made me even happier:

"the average commuter spends over $7500 per year on commuting expenses"

That means, I am saving about $5250 a year by taking the shuttle!   And I would argue that it is probably a lot more than that because the average commute does not take over an hour.
