Boondoggle Part 2

Waterfall on road above Upper Intake
Second stop on our boondoggle was Cherry Lake.  We had not been there in over three months and we have had a lot of rain in that time - so we were interested in seeing the damage.

Lots of areas where the road was sliding or dirt and rocks were sliding onto the road but nothing that was not cleaned up.

It started hailing at Upper Intake and then started snowing about 8 miles from Cherry.

Ahi with big snowflakes on her back

Picnic in the truck!
Ahi got too cold in the snow

Once we got to Cherry it was a full snow storm, so we threw Hops out of the truck while we had a picnic!

There were a couple of inches of snow in spots!
Next up:  We heading out onto dirt roads to look for cool things to photograph.  We went down roads that had a lot of storm damage - it was like driving thru pick up sticks!  Jim had to keep getting out to move downed trees.

Then we came to a spot where the road was completely washed out!  And it was washed out in another spot 150 yards farther down the road!

Grace was trying out some new photography techniques thru the whole boondoggle - stay tuned for some of those pics!

I asked Grace to take a pic of me and Daisy because she is so old I never know how long she will be here or if this will  be her last adventure.  Boy was I glad I asked because she got the greatest shot - Daisy looks amazing!  And even though I tried to have it of just me and Daisy, Ahi photo bombed the pic!

And here is an awesome pic of Ahi three week after she almost died!  She looks so majestic!  It's super fun having a photographer in the family!
