I received an award at work called the Legal Eagle award. It is given each quarter to a person or team that does something specifically significant that quarter. Myself and my colleague won it as a team for outstanding work on a highly complex investigation.
We get a choice of a trophy or a $50 amazon gift card....not a hard decision! We both decided we would get a gift card and then she is going to stop in the trophy shop right by her house and see if she can pick up a left over trophy. She is going to look for the strangest one they have - such as a baton twirler. And we are going to cut it in half and use a label maker to make it our own!
We also split $3000....even though I told her I worked harder than her so I should get three quarters of the prize money! She didn't agree!
We usually don't get recognized for anything in our group because the work we do is highly confidential and deals with personnel issues that we cannot discuss. So it is particularly nice to be recognized in front of the whole Legal Department.
One of our coworkers sent us the quote above with a congratulations note. I thought it was so nice!
