Cabin Time

The weekend at the cabin was almost a complete rain out. However, yesterday the sun broke thru for a little while and we squeezed in as much outdoor activity as possible. First we went down to the lake and fished. We started fishing for blue gil and then switched to bass. We could see the bass in the shallow water, so we cast out a big juicy purple worm and watched him take it! Catching bass it great fun!

Then we came home and took a hike down to the creek. Everyone thought I was crazy (and a redneck) when I brought salami and two sticks rigged like fishing poles (Gracie had rigged them our last Cherry trip). They were all believers when I caught a crawdad within 20 seconds of putting the salami in the creek! Game on!!! Unfortunately, we did not catch many but it was great fun anyway!

Next, we decided to squeeze in some lake time, so we all jumped into our swim suits and headed back to the lake. Brrrrr..... by that time, the sun was coming and going and the wind had picked up. But we stayed there for an hour and had fun.
