We spent the last couple days doing yard cleanup at the cabin. We raked up 2 truckloads of pine needles. In the process we came upon this baby Sierra garter snake. To judge his size the rock in the bottom pic is a little bigger that a quarter. His little snake tongue was so small you could barely see it.
We spent some time looking at him, learning about him and then released him.
