Concussion Update

It has been about 48 hours since Grace crashed and took a ride in a helicopter.  And I am thrilled to say that she is doing better and better.  Her memory is coming back slowly and she can now remember Christmas Day and some  of the things that happened the morning of the accident (picking up Grandma Anna, going thru the gate of Yosemite and getting a new pass).

She still has memory gaps and is having a little trouble with short term memory but she does not have a headache and is not asking the same questions over and over.  She is napping a lot and taking it very easy.  I keep feeling like we dodged a bullet and I am so, so, so thankful that it was not worse.  I know 6 months of low risk activity will be hard on her but when I think about what could have been, it is a small price to pay.

The prayers and positive thoughts have been coming in at a rapid speed and we can feel them for sure.  Thanks to all for keeping her in their thoughts.  This has been one of those experiences that we will never forget.

Here are some of the pictures from earlier in the day when we were playing Farkle and listening to the band while sitting outside in the beautiful California sun.
