Bodie State Park

We went to the cabin a couple weeks ago and did a last minute boondoggle to Bodie State Park on the eastern side of the sierras.  There was a lot of smoke by us and thru Yosemite so we were not sure what we would get, but we got lucky and Bodie was clear.
Road to Bodie - about 10 miles of dirt road.

After Bodie, we drove another dirt road to Bridgeport where we got a burger and drove down a dirt road to have a little picnic.    After we ate, we fed the dogs dinner and had a little walk.

The funniest part of the day was in Bridgeport - we had to turn around so Jim turned which caused us to pull up next to a colorful bull statue.  The statue alarmed Oakley and she let out a big deep warning bark with started the other dogs awake!  The picture at the top of this post is Oak contemplating how scary that bull was.   And Hops wondering what the heck had happened.
