Thanksgiving 2017 - Tucson AZ

Not a bad place to spend the week!
For Thanksgiving 2017, we made a trek to Tuscon to meet up with Drew.  Since he had Oakley, we wasn't able to fly home and it was too short a period of time to drive.

As long as we were going, we asked our folks, Aunt Pat and Uncle Dave and Aunt Nancy and Uncle Don (who live in AZ) to join us.  All were in, so I rented an enormous house, and we set about making plans!

Jim and his folks went down 5 days early so his folks could spend some time with Nancy and Don while Jim hung out with Drew in Tucson.  That worked out well for me, because I sent them to Costco and Safeway to do all the grocery shopping so that when I showed up, it was all done!

These are pics from Thanksgiving day.  The kids and I took a 4 mile hike on Oracle Ridge on the top of Mt Lemmon.    The altitude and the kids long legs kicked my butt!

After we hiked, we went home and started putting together dinner.  We had to wait until the sun went down to eat because the sun was so bright coming through the floor to ceiling windows.  We had a feast and laid around afterwards chatting.  We were so full that no one even ate dessert!

It was such a wonderful thanksgiving and I am so so so thankful that we were together in such a beautiful location. The only thing that would have made it more perfect was if Uncle B, Auntie D and the kids were there and if Auntie Patty had not come down with mono.
