Crossing the Niagra

Yesterday we went geocaching in the rain out by Cherry.  This was our first find.  We had to do some cross country hiking to find it but it was well worth it when we emerged from the bush to see an old trestle and and a long multi-layered waterfall!  This is my favorite geocache to date.  Not only was it a beautiful area and I got to see an old trestle but it had cool stuff in it - including a portable urinal (travel john) and a freaky Pinocchio!  We left a rhino that we found out at New Melones last week (you can see the rhino in that post).  There were only two other notes in this geocache because it was so far off the beaten path!

Geocache packed full!

Trestle across the gorge

Base of the trestle over the falls

Pile of wood from trestle collapse
