While we are on vacation, Hops is having some "work" done. Since her Budweiser career is over, she is getting ready to start he next career as a super model. But before she could do a bikini shoot, she had to have her umbilical hernia repaired!
She also had her hips and elbows xrayed and all look good!
Above she is recovering with Uncle Dewey and giving him a little love!
Below is her belly button repair... which makes me think, she is awfully hairy for a bikini!
Hops' two sisters, Maggie and Abby also got their xrays done at the same time and the breeder reported she heeled perfectly while going to the vet -- unlike her sisters! I was so pleased because we have worked so hard with her and I am so happy it shows.
Next, the breeder asked if we would be willing to take Maggie for a couple months and train her. Here is the back story: Maggie was purchased with another one of Hops' sisters and went to the family's 90 year old grandmother. The family swore to the breeder that they would help the grandmother with the dog. Well, when the breeder watched the two dogs this summer when the family went on vacation, the pup was out of control. The breeder offered to buy Maggie back and the family jumped at the offer. So now she has Maggie and needs to get her under control.
For one fleeting second, I thought about taking her...but then I remembered that I work full time, the kids are going back to school and Daisy Mae is not feeling well.
