The first morning in AZ, Drew and I took Oakley on a hike on Mt Lemmon. We were at about 8500 feet and you could feel the altitude. We hiked over the back side of the mountain and then went up to a lookout tower which was much more sophisticated than the ones we were used to hiking to.
We walked thru some of the old burned area and had tremendous views without any big tree cover. My favorite part of the hike was when two white tailed deer ran by!
