We always have great choices for the most prestigious award of the year, the "Chach" of the Year. We all talked about it and thought it was funny that no one actually tries to win Chach of the Year - it just happens!
CHACH OF THE YEAR
This year's nominees were:
- Bug and Kayla for breaking into Drew's truck and causing the wheel to fall off.
- Grandma Kathy for donating GIANT wine glasses to the TNDC ladies who then feel compelled to fill them to the rim (ok...it's really just Tina who feels compelled)
- The Walkers who did not spend their anniversary with TNDC
- Grace for scaring the crap out of everyone with her ski crash and helicopter ride
- Mikey for backing Reene's Jeep into Renee's Suburban
- Hurricane Odile for wrecking the Tia's house.
The winner is....with 76% of the vote.....Bug and Kayla...warming up for a life of crime!

QUOTE OF THE YEAR
Award number 2 is for Quote of the Year. There were about 50 that I had to choose from but I narrowed it down to the following the nominees:
- Mari: "Marty's enjoying his lollipop right now. Don't ask him any manly questions."
- Mr Screwtop: "I have a few dikes that are now strippers."
- Mrs Screwtop: "I need a hoe!"
- Kyle: "Glad I have a boy. I only have to worry about one penis."
- Bug: "There's meat in my crotch!"
- Stache: "Every morning when I hit the restroom, I think of Marty."
- Coach: "I'm going to whip you like you're my second husband."
- Auntie Deb: "So Tina, I was telling someone about your bathroom pictures."
With 38% of the vote, Kyle wins the Quote of the Year! Bug came in second place with 23% of the vote!

DRUNK OF THE YEAR
This was a new award this year....I am not sure what that says about us as a group but I don't think it's good!
Nominees for Drunk of the Year were:
- It's a tie: all of the men together at the SJ Giants game
- Marty at Halloween
- Marty at the SJ Giants game
- Kyle at the SJ Giants game
- Mari at the 49ers game
And the winner is...a tie between "It's a tie: all of the men together at the SJ Giants game" and "Marty at the SJ Giants game". Each response received 38% of the vote. But really, they are all winners!
MEAL OF THE YEAR
The Meal of the Year is very important because we all like to eat! The nominees this year were:
- Panini nite
- Chinese nite
- Churros at the SJ Giants game
- Carne asada nite
- Tamale nite
With a whopping 57% of the vote, Churro nite won! And then we all reminisced about how those were the greatest churros we had ever eaten!
HAPPIEST THAT THE BEER WAS FREE AT THE SJ GIANTS GAME
This award is all about happiness! The nominees were:
- Mr Screwtop
- Stacheman
- Marty
- Jim
- Kyle
The winner, with 52% of the vote was....Marty. In second place with 26% of the vote was Kyle. I found it remarkable that Mr Screwtop and Stachman did not receive ANY votes.

The winner is...William!

With 38% of the vote, Yahoo nite at the ball game wins! In second place with 19% of the vote was White Elephant nite.
CUTEST BABY AWARD
Although there were some interesting nominees (Baby Jesus and naked Vietnamese baby statue), William ran away with this award with a 100% of the vote!
2014 TIME CAPSULE
This is one of my favorite questions on the survey - If we were to make a 2014 TNDC Time Capsule, what would you put in it? The answers sum up the year:
If I could capture a laugh, that's what I would put in the time capsule. It's the simple, universal signature of what it feels like to to be alive and amongst great friends and family - or - a cold beer.
