Drama week

Apparently this is drama week for us. 

Tonite we went to dinner at Cochina while and we were eating an old man came in and looked ill.  Turns out he had fallen and hit his head when coming in the restaurant.  He was sitting at a table and his wife was talking to him while the waitress got him some water. 

I was watching and could tell something was wrong so Jim got up and went to see if they needed help.  He was slumped in his chair not looking well so I got up to help too.  The wife reported he was 79 years old and had stage 4 colon cancer.  He had just been in Sonora to get blood work done and was getting chemo tomorrow.

As we were talking to them he started feeling nauseous and lost consciousness.  We had the waitress call 911 while we kept his head up so as not to compromise his airway.  He came to after a few minutes and seemed to be more alert.

Firefighters showed up and we went back to our dinner.

We did not need anymore drama this week but felt happy to be able to help them and provide a little comfort.  They were a sweet old couple.
