With nothing else to do we decided to take a trip down to Cal State Monterey Bay to check out the campus. It was completely deserted so we just wandered around and let Hops run around. The statues above are from their Art Program.
It is a beautiful campus in a super unique location - an old army base with a view of the Monterey Bay.
After the college self tour we drove thru Monterey, Pacific Grove and Asilomar. It was good to see the ocean and it was a beautiful day. Then we headed to the Succulent Gardens, which is a place to buy succulents. It was safe as it was outside and very spread out - and there were only about 8 other people there.
Next up was a trip to the Elkhorn Slough where we had a picnic lunch (in the truck), took a walk and saw some pickle weed (above), which apparently you can eat!
Above are some of the succulents we got on our trip. All were ones that we did not already have. We also got one for Grace's new desk!
