Today I hosted a volunteer event at work for Canine Companions. I had 40 employees sign up to make raised dog beds, pull toys and puppy play gyms.
The volunteers were super engaged and seemed to love meeting the working service dogs who came to the event.
I was really happy with all we got done and with how much we were able to share about Canine Companions.
The dogs were able to show the volunteers things that they do for their humans - including picking up a credit card off the ground. Everyone cheered for Lily when she did it and it made her so excited she ran a couple laps around the volunteers!
