Oakley

We have been taking care of Oakley a lot lately, which brings me great joy.  Above is when we were at the cabin and she had taken out a bunch of toys and then went to bed.  Below was back in SJ while I was doing yoga.

 

Fleece

Grace made me this new fleece!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!  I plan on wearing it all week and am already thinking about my next design.

President's Day Hike

I was off on President's Day so we did a local hike at Sanborn, Black Rd entrance.  G had planned to mountain bike up the John Nicholas Trail but it turned out to be raining so she just road on the fire road while we walked it.

It rained the whole time and we were sopping wet and muddy when we were done.  I love hiking in the rain because things look so different.  We saw lots of Pacific Newts crossing the trail.  We would stop and make sure they made it across safely.

 Everyone needed baths to clean up when we got home.  Even the dogs!  They were soooo muddy.

UC Davis

We visited UC Davis on Valentine's Day to check out the campus.   We drove around and walked around to get a feel for it.  And then we went downtown, ordered some cookies from Insomnia Cookies and some lunch from Thai Cantina.

We brought lunch out to the Bee Haven and had a little picnic.  Then we checked out the gardens and enjoyed the bee sculptures.  Come to find out the Bee Haven was built by my former manager's father in law who was a bee expert at UC Davis.  I had heard about the father in-law for 20 years and knew his involvement at UC Davis but had no idea about this garden.  

It was so nice to get out and we really enjoyed the campus.  This is a great option of G decides to go there.  And it also gave Astrid some time to practice her commands.

Workmate

While working in the basement, Grendel was my workmate for the day.  She ran around while I worked!  She enjoyed looking out the window and watching the world go by.
